PESHAWAR: Samiullah Khan, a special athlete from Peshawar, is not just a talented sportsman but an inspiring figure for the youth, thanks to his unwavering determination and relentless efforts. Despite his physical disability, Samiullah has never allowed it to hinder his journey to success. He continues his daily training at Peshawar’s Qayyum Stadium, regardless of the challenges he faces.

Samiullah, one of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s renowned athletes, has balanced his athletic pursuits with academics, earning a bachelor’s degree. Under the guidance of seasoned coaches like Adnan Afridi and Zafran Afridi, he has refined his skills and carved a path to success.
He began his athletic career in 2008, participating in special athletics competitions at the Peshawar level. His dedication and hard work soon propelled him to the national stage. His first major breakthrough came the same year when he won a bronze medal at the National Paralympic Games, boosting his confidence significantly.
Samiullah’s relentless efforts bore more fruit in 2012 when he secured a silver medal at the National Paralympic Games. By 2015, he had reached new heights, claiming a gold medal at the National Special Games, cementing his position as an exceptional athlete. From 2018 to 2021, Samiullah consistently won gold medals at the National Paralympic Games, proving himself as an unbeatable athlete. His remarkable achievements reflect his hard work, perseverance, and passion for sports.
Samiullah, who lives with Cerebral Palsy (CP) at level CP5, refuses to let his condition hold him back. He is determined to represent Pakistan in international athletics competitions and believes that success comes through unwavering effort. “Sports are an integral part of my life,” says Samiullah. “I firmly believe in hard work, and I know Allah never lets our efforts go to waste.” Samiullah Khan is undoubtedly a shining example for those who believe that success is attainable through determination and perseverance, no matter how challenging the circumstances may be.
